Fexco backs Tenora with £7.5m as the UK fintech expands into corporate treasury solutions

The international payments and FX technology group backs the platform's expansion beyond FX, months after Macquarie increased its own investment and Tenora secured FCA authorisation as an Electronic Money Institution

September 23, 2026

London, UK, 23 September 2026 – Tenora Financial Group Limited ("Tenora") has secured £7.5m of new backing from Fexco, the international payments and FX technology group, as the UK fintech expands its platform beyond foreign exchange into the wider corporate treasury market.

The commitment comprises a £5.5m equity investment, alongside a further £2m funding line to support Tenora's treasury and margin requirements as trading volumes grow.

The investment will fund Tenora's move into what it describes as "Treasury Orchestration", which brings FX risk management, hedging and execution together with cash management and global payments on a single platform. The company is seeking to address a corporate treasury market in which these functions have traditionally been managed through separate providers, systems and processes.

The funding will also accelerate the development of Tenora's AI-native platform and overseas expansion, as the business continues to build on its 160% quarter-on-quarter revenue growth.

Fexco's investment follows approval by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). It comes six months after Macquarie, through its Commodities and Global Markets business, increased its shareholding in Tenora, and after Tenora's UK subsidiary, Tenora Financial Solutions Limited, secured FCA authorisation as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI).

Harry Adams, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Tenora, said: "Corporates don't experience FX risk, global payments and cash management as three separate problems, but the market sells them this way. We think treasury should operate as one lifecycle, from identifying an exposure through to moving and settling the money, with the governance and oversight businesses expect from institutional financial infrastructure.

"Fexco has spent more than four decades building payments and FX infrastructure at global scale. Its experience will be hugely valuable as we expand Tenora beyond FX and build the next generation of corporate treasury infrastructure."

As part of the investment, Sean Crowe, CEO Financial Services, Fexco, has joined Tenora's board.

Sean joined the Fexco Group Executive in July 2022, leading the Financial Services Division. He previously served as Group Treasurer for Bank of Ireland and CEO for the Group's Market and Treasury Division. He was a member of the Executive Committee steering the Bank of Ireland Group from 2014 to 2020 and a member of the Board for New Ireland Assurance.

Sean Crowe, CEO Financial Services, Fexco, added: "Tenora is applying modern technology to an area of the market where many processes remain manual and disconnected. What stands out is the team's commitment to building on strong foundations, with institutional-grade infrastructure, governance and controls embedded from the outset. Harry and the team bring a clear vision and deep understanding of the market, and we are pleased to support them as a long-term partner as they execute on that opportunity."
